Lost password email link redirects to lost password page – except in Firefox

Hi,

This is an almost identical issue as the one described in this topic from a few months ago, but I’ll outline the issue anyway.

When a user attempts to reset their password via the ‘Lost your password?’ link on the Login Page, they are taken to the ‘Lost Password’ page (https://stardraws.uk/my-account/lost-password/) and prompted to enter their email address to send the password reset link to. The email is then correctly sent out to the user containing the password reset link which is similar to: https://stardraws.uk/my-ccount/lost-password/?key=xxxxxx&id=13. Everything up to this point is working exactly as required. The issue occurs when that link in the email is clicked by the user. If the user clicks the link on a PC where their default browser is Firefox, then the link works as required and they can change their password, however, if the password reset link in the email is clicked on a PC that has Chrome or Edge as their browser, or if clicked on a mobile device, then the link immediately redirects them back to the ‘Lost Password’ page (https://stardraws.uk/my-account/lost-password/?show-reset-form=true&action) where they are prompted to enter their email address for a reset password link once again.

We have tested with all plugins except for Woocommerce disabled, and the problem still occurs. WordPress and Woocommerce are up-to-date (eventhough we have had this issue for a couple of months now and has persisted through various updated versions of both Worpress and Woocommerce).

We have attempted the ‘Deleting the lost password endpoint in Woocommerce settings’ solution seen in a number of other related threads, however, this then just defaults to the WordPress password reset page, which is Worpress branded – i.e. not our website branding – but also prompts the user to log in the ‘wp-admin’ page of our site following their password reset which just looks extremely unprofessional, and is not an acceptable solution for us.

According to a previous moderator, this issue is apparently a Woocommerce issue and not a WordPress issue, however, it would be greatly appreciated if anyone could assist us in getting this issue resolved as we’re losing business as a result of it.
