# Lost password

 * I am testing a new site. I was testing to see what would happen if a member lost
   their login information.
 * The test member I chose has not admin rights. I hit the button to say send me
   a new password.
 * I recieved the email to the members address with the following written on it,(
   By the way it had the right website name)
 * Someone has asked to reset the password for the following site and username.
 * nameofsite.com
 * Username: test
 * To reset your password visit the following address, otherwise just ignore this
   email and nothing will happen.
 * [http://Therightnameofmysite/wp-login.php?action=rp&key=Jg5nxBs5lFKee7ZbbLFQ&login=test](http://Therightnameofmysite/wp-login.php?action=rp&key=Jg5nxBs5lFKee7ZbbLFQ&login=test)
 * As you can see there is no password also when i hit the link it went to a page
   that says,
    “Sorry, that key does not appear to be valid”.
 * How can i sort this problem out, thanks

 * WordPress does not send out the new password in the email by default.

 * O did not know that. What then do they do.
 *  They send the member to a link where they can set a new one?
 * If this is true, that link is not working for me and it says about the key?
 * How can I fix it that the linkl will fix the password.

 * All ok WordPress did send out a new password to the member, it went into his 
   spam box.
