    That’s unusual; I would suggest removing the folder and reinstalling the plugin; you may want to make sure you have a recent backup of your site as well.

    I tried that and I’m getting also sorts of permission errors.

    You might want to contact your web hosting provider and see if they can help you straighten out your permission issues; sometimes there are issues with file ownership as well, i.e. if the user for the web server isn’t the same as the user for FTP, or if they aren’t in the same group, etc.
