Lost my gravatar when I post

Just set-up my first wordpress sight with the 2011 theme. I added my first post and my gravatar appeared next to it on the home page,great. Then went in did some more fiddling with settings and my gravatar no longer appears.

I’ve tried deleting and re creating the post and still nothing. if I write a comment on the post my gravatar appears.
