 * After updating all my plugins and updating to the latest version of wordpress,
my site is no longer optimized when I view it on a mobile device. Prior to the
updates, the site displayed a nice compact simplified view of my site on mobile
devices. Now it’s gone?!?When viewed on my desktop, nothing appears to have changed
there, so I am happy with that.
I have since downloaded a few AMP plugins to
try and rectify the problem and had a play with them but still haven’t been able
to improve the mobile version. I would rather not use these plugins because I
am guessing that during the updates there is probably some simple setting that
I have to tweak? I am using Modularity Lite Theme. Any help would be much appreciated
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Flost-mobile-optimization-after-update%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * This is a very old theme, and is no longer supported or maintained unfortunately:

 * You could try asking in here:
 * At the very least, I would try installing this:
   and or this: [https://wordpress.org/plugins/mobilook/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/mobilook/)
 * while you re-build your site. Lol
🙂 If you have a backup, load it up and then
strategically make site updates so you can see which plugin broke, or if it was
   the theme, etc.

 * Thanks very much. I restored an old backup and it looks good once again on mobile
devices. But not sure if Google recognizes it as mobile friendly?

 * You can run your site through PageInsights to see how Google views your site
in re: to desktop and mobile:[https://pagespeed.web.dev/](https://pagespeed.web.dev/)

 * In this case, I don’t feel like it is a solution. Your theme is simply out of
date, and eventually this will occur again. I would take this time to set up
a new development site and re-do your site so you don’t get caught scrambling
the nex time. If the pull cord is badly frayed on your Mercury outboard, you’re
gonna wanna make sure you have a replacement on hand for when it inevitably breaks!
