Lost front page on child theme

    I’ve been developing a child theme for busiprof, and had the very poor sense to update busiprof itself. After the update my front page was mostly gone, only the header and footer are displayed. I’ve tried to remove everything but the css file and it does the same. If I activate busiprof I have a front page, if I activate the (supposedly identical) child theme I only get a header and a footer. I’ve tried to link it to a static page but it still won’t display.

    Hi,
    Thanks for contacting us!
    Sorry for the inconvenience.
    Actually, in the new update, we have moved the homepage sections in our companion plugin.
    Once you will install and activate the “Webriti Companion” plugin, your homepage will show. And service settings and other section settings will show in the customizer.
    See the below screenshots. After activating the plugin all sections are showing.

    Also, make sure you have assigned the “Home page” template on your homepage.

    Step 2
    After this, If you are using your own child theme based on Busiprof.
    In that case, you need to do rename your child theme by the name “Busiprof child” check line number L360 already checked for theme name “Busiprof child”
    The theme name is case sensitive so use the same name as what I have mentioned.
