Just wanted to let you know that I was thinking of going pro with your product, but since you charge a yearly fee of $40 for the pro version, you have lost my business. If the fee was a one time fee I would have done it. But I am not paying yearly for something that I wont have to update for a while.

If you change this in the future I might reconsider.

BridgeDD PRO will remain a subscription due to the unique aspects of what it offers and the number of updates it receives compared to BridgeDD. In the past seven months BridgeDD has had one update, and that update occurred just two days ago. BridgeDD PRO has had five updates in that same timeframe, including a major update a couple months ago.

You are more than welcome to subscribe and simply not renew the subscription. You would lose custom support and product updates when your subscription expired, but BridgeDD PRO would still work as long as a future update to phpBB or WordPress didn’t cause a compatibility issue.

Just so you’re aware, one such compatibility issue occurred with WordPress 4.4. Those with active subscriptions were able to download a BridgeDD PRO update 10 days before WP4.4 was released. Those who allowed their subscriptions to expire found that BridgeDD PRO no longer worked when they updated to WP4.4.
