# Lost API Key

 * I’m trying to find out what happened to my API key. I can’t see it anymore on
   MY ACCOUNT. Want to activate Akismet. Can someone tell me where else to look?

 * Hi, sorry to be a bother but I’m stuck. I tried to follow the advice fronm this
   thread but no luck. I turned off all my plugins a while back and now turned askimet
   back on and need my api key but it is NOT in my dashbord-profile.

 * WordPress.COM. Go there. Sign up for an account. Yes, yes, you don’t have to 
   use the free blog wordpress.COM gives you, but you do need to sign up there to
   get the API key.
