Hello, I haven’t been using URE settings for a long time, but today I tried to enter the settings page of URE and got “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page” for my default admin account which role never had been edited. I didn’t noticed if it happend after the WP update or after the URE update. My site in not multisite.
Please, help me to restore the admin access.

    Hello,

This is the most probably after today URE update. Version 4.18 introduces new permissions set for User Role Editor.
Does your admin account have default ‘administrator’ role or some renamed copy of it?

Thank you. Please try to manually deactivate URE plugin and activate it back. Let me know if it helped.

Thank you, I’ve got the admin access again!
    But I’ve got a warning:
The following plugins might cause (open graph) issues with Yoast WordPress SEO: Facebook
    Is it ok?

Could you please show a screenshot with this message. Do you see the same message at other (not URE’s pages)?

Thanks a lot, I investigated, the warning is related to another plugin.

Hi I just updated and now “do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” What capability is required? I deactivated and activated with no effect. I uninstalled and added through WP with no change.I am admin and can add plugins and edit users.

The required capability for URE page is ‘ure_edit_roles’. In order to access URE settings page user need ‘ure_manage_options’ capability. Other ure_% capabilities are responsible for the different functions inside URE:

Did you updated to the version 4.18.1?
Is it single of multisite WP installation? In the last case super-admin always has access and can fix the possible problem with user capabilities.
