I just migrated my site to 2.0, and as a Super Admin, I have lost access to almost everything. I’ve tried deleting the plugin and reinstalling it, but it maintains the same settings. I’ve also tried running the uninstall script, but I still don’t have access to what I need.

I’m really concerned because I have this plugin running on several sites (I work for a web development company). Please help!

  • Hi Cristina,
Can you please send us the dump of your database on email support@wpaam.com.
We will check what went wrong and provide the fix for you.

    Regards,
    Vasyl

P.S. I hope you have a backup as we suggested.

    Hi Vasyl,

Thanks for your quick response. Unfortunately I don’t have access to the database dump.

Something to note, when I went to update my plugins, I got an error saying AAM could not be activated because the plugin file did not exist; the plugin was deactivated in my plugin list. Then I clicked on activate and was prompted to go through the motions of the migration. The migration went successfully except I lost permissions to a lot of things.

You lost you admin capability. That is why I’ve been asking for dump to see how to recover it. Is there any change to get a dump?

And one more question, do you have single blog or multisite network?

Our IT person is out, so there’s no way I can get the database dump.

Our sites are single blogs, no multisite.

    Hi Cristina,
I just got the dump from other customer. This might give us an idea what is wrong. I’ll keep you updated.

    Vasyl

    Hi Cristina,
The last question. When you remove the AAM plugin from the wp-plugins folder via FTP, do you have access to your dashboard?

    Hi Vasyl,

Yes, when I remove AAM completely I have full access to my Dashboard again.

I’ve temporarily downgraded to version 1.9.1 and have avoided upgrading on my other sites until this has been resolved.

    Thanks for investigating this!

Very good. Than I know the reason.

    Vasyl,

I clicked on the link, but all I get is:

    Information
The requested topic does not exist.

That is weird. In fact I have just clicked it and it works. Try again: http://wpaam.com/support#viewtopic.php?f=2&t=20

    Okay now it works!

Is your solution referring to the the script in the last post? Because I did try that (I mentioned that in my first post), and it still didn’t work.

    Hi Cristina,
Nope. It is different script this time. The one you mentioned on very beginning remove all settings related to Advanced Access Manager 1.x versions.
The one that is mentioned here fix the issue, that is caused by Migration process (scroll down to the last Reply).

My apology for confusions. It is truly hard to cover all possible permutations of settings.
