Lost Access To All Plugins

    Updated to WF v 5.01. After installation, but before I could even look at WF options, I lost access to all currently installed plugins and to the WP updates pages. When I attempt to view installed plugins or the updates page, I am presented with blank pages.

    I Moved the WF folder to my machine and deleted it from the plugins folder, no change. Any help would be very much appreciated! Thanks!

    Hi,

    So you didn’t enable caching or anything like that?

    If so, it sounds like your site may have run out of memory. It is strange that it didn’t come back after you deleted the wordfence folder. Do you have some sort of caching plugin or web cache enabled that may have cached the blank page you were served?

    I did not get the chance to enable anything, I saw the notice the plugin had been updated, then poof, no access to the other plugins and I didn’t even see WF in the bar on the left of the screen.

    No sir, no other caching. I do have Better WP Security, now called iThemes Security, but Word Fence has been playing nicely with that security plugin for a very long time.

    So you didn’t even have a chance to upgrade Wordfence?

    I elected to “UPDATE” Word Fence, and that process completed. If there is another “UPGRADE” step, I did not get that far, no.

    OK, you’re going to have to check your web server error log to see what’s going on if you still have a problem. Please also upgrade to version 5.0.2 which may fix this and was released a few minutes ago.
