 * I have developed a few WP sites for friends. Today, I can’t access any of them
   on Chrome. There are different error messages but most say that the site is insecure
   because the certificate is invalid. Is anyone else having a similar problem?
   Thanks.

 * Can you access them in any other browser(s)?

 * The SSL certificates for the sites have expired.
 * If you installed the certificates yourself, you need to go through the same process
   to acquire and install new certificates.
 * If they came with your hosting, please check your hosting control panel to see
   if you’ll find any feature related to SSL certificates renewal, or contact your
   host for help.
 * If you can share any of the sites with us, I could check the currently installed
   certificate and let you know where it came from.
 * Good luck!

 * Thank you for your response:
 * On Safari I get warnings also
 * The SSL Certificates were created with the plugin SSL Zen. They are all current.
 * Here is one site: vientozinenadvies.nl

 * The site `vientozinenadvies.nl` works fine from my end, as shown below.
 * And it has a valid LetsEncrupt SSL certificate **issued on 16th August** and **
   expiring 14th November** (most likely the plugin will automatically renew it).
 * Can you post a full-page screenshot of one of these error messages you’re seeing?
   You can upload your screenshot to [https://snipboard.io](https://snipboard.io)
   and ahare the link here.

 * I do a manual renewal.
 * So does that mean that the problem is with my computer?

 * I tried it on my iPad. I got a warning there too. It said that the certificate
   had expired 2 days ago. Strange.

 * Here is another part of the warning I got from Chrome:

 * This warning mentions Avast which is my anti-virus program.

    What browser/client
   equipment do you use? A known problem these last couple of days is that one of
   the root certificates that Let’s encrypt has been using recently expired. (DST
   Root CA X3). If you’re on a browser that wasn’t updated for some time, you might
   be experiencing some trouble right now.
 * [@gappiah](https://wordpress.org/support/users/gappiah/) Great contributions
   from you. Did you know that tens of thousands of WordPress contributors communicate
   via the chat application Slack. In our Slack, we’ve also got a channel were we
   talk about the support forums and run a chat meeting once a week (on Thursdays).
   We don’t provide support there, but it’s a useful place for getting help when
   you’re stuck, for instance. You can invite yourself via [https://make.wordpress.org/chat/](https://make.wordpress.org/chat/)

 * I use Chrome on my Macbook. I think Chrome updated their browser a couple of
   days ago.
