• Hello,

after activating Shareaholic, ma Pagespeed score was cut by 7 points and load times increased by roughly half a second. I get this recommendation:

Compressing resources with gzip or deflate can reduce the number of bytes sent over the network.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Mario

  • Hi @editor,

So sorry to hear that! This is not suppose to happen, but we can definitely investigate the issue. What is the URL to your website? If this information is confidential, feel free to send the info directly to my e-mail at maryanne@shareaholic.com. I’d like to test this from my end.

    Thanks!

    Hello Mary Anne,

    my site is this.
PageSpeed requests compression by gzip or deflate for the following (rather big) file:

    http://static-shareaholic.s3.amazonaws.com/analytics_frame.html

    Thanks,

    Mario

Another problem: the counter is not appearing. I’m using W3TC and CloudFlare.

    Thanks,

    Mario

W3TC and CloudFlare. I had the so many issues with the combo of those two until I finally set them up reasonable well and got my page load down to 0.5 seconds You need to be careful how you set them up as they can screw your website up.
Below I am pasting the link to my topic over at W3TC plugin support, this really helped:

By the way , make sure you dont do Auto Minify in W3TC and certainly not in Cloudflare at all – they should be done at source. |Turn Rocket Loader off in CF and read the post above with suggestions on PAge rule set up

Disable Database and Object caching if on shared hosting in W3TC
