I wanted to add that Imagify says of some images, “WELL DONE. This image is already compressed, no further compression required.” Images like this didn’t revert to their original states and were not already compressed: http://www.downtownpdx.dog/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/hero-about1.jpg
Any help reverting my images back would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Richard
Hi,
On my side it looks like the image are correctly restored to the original.
Here is the restored image :
As you can see the size is : 1428795
Here is the original image (from the backup) :
The size is exactly the same, so the image has been correctly restored.
Do you see something different?
Some images have reverted successfully while other have not.
This image (48.65 KB) did not revert back to its original (259.1 KB).
Converted: http://www.downtownpdx.dog/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/reduced-hero-main.jpg
Original: https://app.box.com/s/t5weajlu90e77ivmfmhaa9b4gwihuyc7
Please let me know if you notice the same thing. I am clearing caches left and right to make sure I am seeing this accurately.
Another example:
Converted: http://www.downtownpdx.dog/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/doggylogs-bestofthebestseriously.png (171.77 KB)
Original: https://app.box.com/s/73c76ks6ia35v81opwd6s43tpxc9obzj (317.1 KB)
Thank you for your help — I really appreciate it!
Hi,
On both of your exemple I’ve exactly the same images.
You can find the “real” original, which is the backup file created before optimizing the image at http://www.downtownpdx.dog/wp-content/uploads/backup/
So for exemple the backup (original) of http://www.downtownpdx.dog/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/reduced-hero-main.jpg is http://www.downtownpdx.dog/wp-content/uploads/backup/2017/02/reduced-hero-main.jpg
After downloading them, they have the exact same size.
Don’t you have that also?
For some reason, it has taken days for my site to finally show me the same images you see. I’ve repeatedly cleared my caches in WP Rocket, Cloudflare, and Firefox only to finally now see the original images. I’m not sure which slowed the process down, but I appreciate your help.
