Loss of page editing and widget function

    I am running updated WP with U-Design theme.

    I have experienced a loss of functionality in my page editing area – I can edit in the ‘Visual’ tab, but there is no response to clicking the ‘Text’ tab, so I cannot edit in HTML.

    In the Widget area I used to be able to see the titles that I had given the pages sidebar widgets in the list, but this has now gone. I have instead a list titled ‘Pages Sidebar’ with alternate ‘Navigation Menu’ and ‘Visual Editor’ widgets, but there is no response to clicking on the down arrows.

    Any pointers would be appreciated.

    This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Twenty theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

    If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.
