Support » Plugin: Custom Login Page Customizer | LoginPress » Loosing session and what I’m doing

  • Resolved peopleinside

a feature that I love of this plugin is to be able to set session login expire but there is a medium issue: no alert is showed with a pop up before the session expire.

Once the session is expired user loose what is doing so can loose a composing of a webpage or a configuration. Is not enough insert required credentials because often will be necessary refresh the page and loose changes.

Please you need really need insert a pop up that is showed maybe 5 minutes before the session expire allowing to extend the session.

This will be useful if the webmaster or editor is working composing a page or a configuration. Currently will loose what he his doing, believe me.. just showing the pop up asking to login again will not allow you often to save or recover what was lost with the session.

Add a pop up alert that allow to “rearm” the login session.

    Thank you @wpzainab.
Consider I’m editing a website and I’m loosing all tike what I’m doing because no alert on session expire, no way to extend the session so once the pop up for login is showed and I login again what I’m doing with Page Buider plugin is no more valid so I loose what I was doing all edits.

I really hope you can fix this soon.

@wpzainab this is what I think toy should (must) implement to avoid user to loose his work:

Currently due to work lost thanks to your logout function I disable that function on your plugin and I’m using this additional plugin.

If you can fix the issue your plugin made logout asking re-login but loosing job.. let me know, if you fix I will return to use your plugin logout feature.

Finally I found issues also on the inactive logout plugin and I returned to use the logout feature in Loginpress.

What Loginpress need to add is a pop up that ask the user if logout or not with a countdown.

What is positive on the inactive logout is that in settings you can decide:

Session must expire after 5 minutes, for example.
After 5 minutes a countdown is showed to the user asking if he want still be connected. A continue button will allow the user to stay connected… like when you are inactive on the bank website.

In the plugin settings the admin can decide how long the count down should be.
For example session can expire after 5 minutes so a count down to other 5 minutes is showed.

After 5 minutes user will see a pop up that ask if he want stay connected and a countdown of other 5 minutes is showed.

In this pop up two button should be present “keep me logged” or “logout now”.
If user never do anything after the countdown is expired user is logged out.

Actually in Loginpress you are logged out immediately, without any pop up alert.
You need login again in the pop login screen you will see but log in again will invalidate something you was doing so I’m loosing my job when I work with Page Builder by SiteOrigin because when I try to load widget after the re-login it say invalid CSF token.

I hope you can fix this issue in Loginpress by adding a pop up that ask user if stay connected or not befre the logout is automatically done.
