Loosing parent categories in Child sites

    Here’s the problem (since yesterday): I run a multi site wordpress, with 1 main site and 2 child sites with WooCommerce. Main site has all products, whereas child sites contain only portions of them. whenever I publish a new product, or re-publish an existing one, sub categories in child sites are stripped from their parent categories and become parents themselves. I really don’t know why of what’s causing this? Anyone?

    Hi @umecom

    This kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.

    The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

    If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated.

    Reactivate the theme first and check again. Then, go on and reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict.

    Thanks Mirko. We were indeed figuring out conflicts and finally we found out it had to do with an update of the Broadcast-plugin (taxonomy changes). Maker of the plugin rapidly corrected this, all is working OK again.
