Loosen/disable the strong password policy

    Can anyone guide me in the right direction on who to loosen or disable the strong password policy?
    Would like to do it without the use of a plugin.
    I’m running a non-public site and don’t need strong security.

    Hi, MrBW & welcome to the WordPress support forum. I’m not quite certain what you mean here, i.e., WordPress will let you use any password you want–it’ll just tell you whether or not it thinks it’s a secure one.

    However, I think whether a site is public or not, secure passwords are likely a good policy, as miscreants will find sites using vulnerability scanner tools & such regardless of whether or not they’re public.
