When embedding an events calendar in a page built with Elementor the header of the page completely disappears. I have tried different page templates, embed snippet and Events Widgets For Elementor And The Events Calendar plugin but any events calendar embed prevents anything from showing in the header or sidebar (page footer is visible). Please help.

    WP V: 6.8.1
    Elementor V: 3.29.0
    Events Calendar V: 6.13.1

Yes I have done that. There is no setting for Header & Footer in my theme. This is working correctly on every other page of this website except for the single event url.

    Hi @rmintellek

You seem to be utilizing an FSE theme, in my opinion. The URL https://intellek.io/wp-admin/site-editor.php would be worth considering. Next, go to Templates, select the Single Event template and confirm that the header has been added. If not, kindly include the header block and check to see if it fixes the problem.

Let me know how it goes.

That doesn’t seem to be the case. When I visit the URL you provided above (site-editor.php) I get an error message that says “The theme you are currently using does not support this screen.” Also the only Templates settings I have is for Elementor which I am not using for these pages.

      Hi @rmintellek

      Thanks for your response.

Upon checking, both our single event and archive templates make use of the standard WordPress functions get_header(); and get_footer(); to load the header and footer sections. However, when I tried debugging the issue on my end using your theme, it appears that the get_header(); function isn’t returning anything. This suggests that the issue may be related to how your theme handles or overrides the default WordPress template hierarchy.

I recommend reaching out to your theme’s support team for further assistance—they might have encountered similar reports and could provide more specific guidance or a workaround tailored to your theme.

I have tried a different events plugin and it works fine, the header and sidebar works on every page on my website except for the single event url that your plugin generates, so I don’t think this is an issue with the theme. I will just have to use the other plugin that works.

      Hi @rmintellek ,

Thank you for your message, and I’m sorry to hear that you’ve come to a decision to use another plugin over The Events Calendar plugin. While The Events Calendar plugin aims for broad compatibility, it is a common occurrence in the WordPress ecosystem that interactions with specific themes can sometimes lead to unexpected rendering problems like the one you’re experiencing.

We’d appreciate further opportunity to investigate this issue with you. — My suspicion is you may have a custom header file that the basic get_header() function is unable to find. Do you have some header-<some text>.php file in your theme’s directory?
