Hi there,
Please make sure you’re running a recent version of PHP. Here’s how to update your PHP version:
https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-update-your-php-version/
If the PHP version isn’t the cause, then I suggest increasing your WordPress installation memory limit:

@fstat We have the latest PHP running. Jetpack was working fine moments before we created the staging site. No other plugin got affected except Jetpack because when we deactivated it on the staging site, it messed up the plugin on the actual site. And that’s most likely due to the plugin “calling home” (something that is prohibited by other plugins but allowed for Jetpack!).
So to recap:
It was working fine moments before.
Staging site was created.
Deactivated on Staging site.
Stopped working altogether with looping activation page!
It points to a glitch in the coding somewhere. Can someone please look into it?
Thank you and be safe!

What is the URL of the site with the problem?
something that is prohibited by other plugins but allowed for Jetpack!
It’s allowed for all plugins, there’s no rule against it: https://developer.wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-org/detailed-plugin-guidelines/#6-software-as-a-service-is-permitted
@macmanx James, can I email you the link? We don’t like to place it here. I looked for an email under your website but couldn’t find one.
Thanks.
