• I just recently deconstructed the theme relaxation three columns and made it into a two column template.

everything looks perfect on Firefox and fits well… but in Internet Explorer. My side bar shifts to the bottom. Instead of being to the right side. I’m kind of confused where I went wrong with code I’m a hacked around.

is there an easy solution? does anyone have an idea of where I could look for the problem to fix?

    thank you in advance

  • The sidebar behaves on other “pages”, so I’m willing to bet the italic link in “Gifts from the garden” messes it up 🙂 Can’t remember what you can do about it though (change padding?). I think IE doesn’t like justified text and italics.

    I could be wrong, though.

    thx minna,

I tried removing the italics…and images from the index fi;e, no luck yet.

does anyone else have any ideas on where I could correct my coding…?

what would be the main reasons for Internet Explorer to drop down the sidebar?

R there certain pieces of code in CSS that I should look for and or work with and delete to remedy the sidebar detachment? certain attributes Internet Explorer does not like?….but what is even more strange is that my theme development works for all other “pages”..except the index

I’m completely baffled right now and could use any direction…….available. anyone?

The most common reasons that I can remember: image too wide in sidebar; image too wide in the content; linkname too long in the sidebar; some invisible code in the sidebar (e.g. counters); the container div’s width is less than the content+sidebar+borders+margins+paddings… things like that.
