Very limited in free. For some odd reason their calendar ends on Sunday (the first day of the week) and it was not readily apparent how to change that in settings.

    Thanks for the review, @rojasaj.

Well, I have to say I wholly disagree that The Events Calendar lacks substance… it actually packs in a lot of functionality at no cost whatsoever.

It has multiple views which are fully responsive, supports reusable content (no need for calendar admins to re-type the same venue and organizer information each time they create an event), provides iCal export, CSV import and plenty more besides. A casual look isn’t enough to reveal everything: there are for example various SEO “boosts” that make it easier than ever for search engines to consume event data and index things correctly.

In short, a lot of time, effort and attention to detail goes into building The Events Calendar and—quite the opposite of it having no substance—there is a tremendous depth to much of what it does.

For some odd reason their calendar ends on Sunday (the first day of the week)

It actually respects your WordPress settings in this regard.

If you configure WordPress to start the week on Monday, for example, then it will indeed render the calendar in such a way that Sunday is the last day of the week (which is in line with the perceptions of many users). However, altering this is easy: simply visit the Settings ‣ General admin screen and change the relevant setting (just to emphasize, this is one of WordPress’s own settings screens, and not one provided by our plugin).

I hope that helps and if you have any other thoughts please do share them: the more we hear about ways to improve, the better!

Thanks for the response – I’ll give it another look. Could have been hasty in my comments. I’ll update upon further investigation.
    Best regards
