I currently have a few Blogger sites (which you're all welcome to comment on) and I'm looking to change over to WP. I'm currently learning to use WP by integrating it into an intranet site for the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department (I'm their intern right now). I'm considering changing over once I'm more familiar with it so I can play more at home and come up with fancier layouts and stuff.
Considering how large two of my current Blogger blogs are (over 700 posts), would this be an easy task? And how would I deal with the fact that I have five different blogs to do the process with? Would that require five installs and change overs?
Just looking for some ideas... as I'm always looking to improve my site.
Thanks ahead of time for any tips or advice you all can give!!! ^_^

Well it is certainly comforting to know that at least the interns at the fine Sheriff's Department of Suffolk County are at the cutting edge. Tax dollars well spent IMHO.
5 installs of WP is a walk in the park. 700 posts does not even get started for load on mysql. Bring em on. And welcome to Word Press forums.

duches - yes WP can easily import Blogger posts, provided you follow the import instructions step by step. If I can do it, any one can. And 700 posts shouldn't be a big deal at all.

As someone in the same situation as you I've recently made the move from MT, I can vouch that it's a breeze going though the import process. Multiple blogs while not difficult to do means installing it 5 times using the same exact database only changing the little suffix, check out the dev blog at the top menu for an explanation.
As for the import, honestly you'd be amazed at how simple and smooth it all is using php, I'm serious it's an amazing piece of software this WP, I think the thing at the bottom says it all, code is poetry....
