# Looking for Simple Analytics

 * Is there a way to view site analytics without a plugin (i.e. using the base installation).
   If not, any recommendations on best and easiest plugin to use?

 * No, you need a plugin. I use google analytics and statcounter. There are plugins
   to insert google analytics code into your blog, but you would need to edit your
   template files to use statcounter.
 * I know lots of folks use the wordpress.com stats plugin, but I haven’t tried 
   it.
