 * Our site has been hacked into and our host said to look for a “grep command”
   that recursively goes through all files and finds a specific line of code and
   deletes that line.
 * Does anyone know about this?
 * Thank you for helping,
    Jessie

 * Grep is a Unix/Linux term for a tool that can search for a specific word or phrase
   across multiple files.
 * [TextPad](http://textpad.com/) – a Windows text editor – has a similar tool (
   Find In Files) that allows you to search, and replace, phrases across all files
   in a directory and its sub-directories. Whatever you do end up using, just ensure
   that it is a **text editor** and **not** a word processor (such as Word).

 * Good luck.
