Looking for a Vector World Map plugin

    Hello all experts!

    I’ve been looking for a plugin that would do the following:
    – Display a world map
    – Compatible with mac products (no flash)
    – I could color each country with a color I want
    – create a link from each country to a page I want
    – display tooltip on hover

    I’ve found a couple of free flash solutions, or non-wordpress jquery plugins. Is there any wordpress plugin that would do this and not use flash?

    Not sure you can colour the country but the best mapping plugin I have come across and is cross platform is geomashup but uses Google Maps
    it is by a guy called Dylan Kuhn and it is the biz for mapping linking posts etc and creating a geo facet to your wp based cms.

    Hello Debra!

    Some time ago I developed a plugin that does exactly what you need:

    It uses the google geochart API, that allows you to display a world map and color countries and even create interaction. The maps are generated in SVG, not in flash.

    The countries can be clickable, and it’s very easy to configure.

    Not sure if it will suit your needs, but hopefully it’s the solution you were looking for!

    Actually, that Interactive World Maps plugin was exctly what I was looking for, altough in the beggining I was a bit hesitant to get it since it is a premium plugin. But now after experimenting it I am convinced it was worth to get it.
