Looking for a plugin? which displays posts in blocks

Hey guy’s,

I was wondering if anyone knows a certain plugin/template or hack which displays posts/articles in blocks that contains a thumbnail, title, introduction of post/article itself and an extra field to display the writer.

Another part i would like to see is that when you click on a block, a JS/CSS pop up (Colorbox/fancybox etc..) appears displaying the full post/article. Within this frame i would like to have the social sharing buttons, but i’m guessing those are easily integrated. My main goal is to place the posts in blocks.

Last but certainly not least, i wish to display 4 blocks in 2 rows. If there are more then 8 blocks there should be a way to load the next blocks through JS/Jquery so that the page doesn’t have to reload.

Anyone got suggestions?
