 * I have a html page I made from scratch containing a tutorial and would like to
   use the comments system used on my blog. (The tutorial is a popup link from the
   blog) is it possible to use the comments system as it would save me setting up
   a MySQL database for another system etc and it would change if I changed the
   site theme
 * Thanks a lot
 * Dan

 * You could convert your HTML file into a WordPress [page](http://codex.wordpress.org/Pages),
   then allow comments on that page.
 * There’s no super-convenient way (of which I am aware) to use WordPress’ commenting
   feature on non-WordPress content. Comments are associated against a post ID,
   so you’d need to somehow ‘fake’ an ID for your static page; and probably make
   a few other tweaks, too.
