Hi, hope someone can help me with this as quite new to WordPress. I have a woocommerce store where we sell beds,i am creating variable products with has quite alot variations.
I have two issues first issue is that it is taking alot of time to create pricing.
I have Attributes such as Bed size, Mattress required,Colour, headboard height.
With each combination the price differs, is it possible to set a price to each sub option of an attribute so the total price gets calculated automatically.
Such as single bed valie £100, single mattress £100, standard headboard £50 when customer make these choice it calculate total price automatically.
I had done this manually but it takes ages.
Also if customer choose single bed then i want him to see single mattress option.
I know it will require some kind of conditional logic but not sure if that can be achieved by any plugin.
    Many thanks

  • You can do this with stabndard variations:

Bed size: Single – Mattress size: Single
Bed size: Double – Mattress size: Double

So, if the customer selects Single Bed only the Single mattress will be shown as an option

If you have lots of variations then the built in editing tools are really not very quick!! I use this – it really helps create and manage lots of variations quickly!

The other thing you could try is to do away with variations and use a Product Options type plugin – I use this one – the conditional logic is excellent and you can use images as options too.

With standard variation i have managed to create the variations but then inhave manually wnter value for each combination and one product can have around 800 variations as there are several colours.
I will check the plugin you have mentioned and see if that does the job.
    Thanks

The Advance Bulk edit plugin is really good for this sort of thing – I had a similar issue when I first bought it, but it was more than worth the price in the time it saved me the first time I used it!

You could also export the products and edit the prices in a spreadsheet then import them back.

Yes i do have a plugin for bulk editing but i am thinking of creating new product with more options but it will really quick while creating a variable product and adding attributes give each attribue a default price as when a customer makes selection the attributes prices add up automatically.
I have seen someone else did this by adding this extra option of price but not sure if that has been done by changing code.
    I dont know coding.
I have the screenshot of that not sure how to share here.
    Thanks for your response.

That’s not how variations work unfortunately. Each variation needs to have a price set.

The other plugin I linked to will do this without variations – lots of examples in the demo site
