Support » Fixing WordPress » Looking For a Plugin

  • My library has two WordPress installations. The first is our static website and the second is a readers’ blog. I would like to be able to display the most recent post from the readers’ blog on the homepage of the static website as a way of promoting the post. Is there a plugin that will pull content from one blog and place it on another website? We would like it to act automatically ie every time we add a new post the post featured on the website will change to the newest post. I am also open to other methods of doing this. Thank you

  • You could use the Really Simple Syndication (RSS) widget that is built into WordPress (Appearance -> Widgets -> RSS) along with the RSS feed from your blog site. If that doesn’t give you enough in the way of layout options, there are a number of other RSS plugins available.

For instructions on how to get the feed URL for your site used in the RSS widgets, take a look at the Codex article on feeds.

    Hi,

You can get most recent post from reader blog by using WordPress REST API. For more information you can read here “https://developer.wordpress.org/rest-api/reference/posts/#list-posts”.

    Thanks & Regards,
    TD
