    I have installed and love the theme Longevity, but I have major layout problems. Widgets positioned in left or right margins (I’ve tried all variations of the settings I could think of) are simply pushed Down to the bottom below the post. This means the post text runs in full width (no margins) making it very unpleasant to read…

    I have also noticed strange layout on online courses made with Sensei..

    Can anyone help me sort this?

    I’m about to upload the Longevity theme update which fixes several things but also has some added features.

    However, I wanted to find out if this Sensei plugin is the paid one from WooThemes or another version? I was going to take a look at this to see how much is related to the theme vs the plugin. But if it’s the paid one, I won’t be able to do anything.

    Thank you for Your great follow up!
    I have updated the theme and now it works so much better and I love the design 🙂 Have a look if you want at http://www.sjelefred.com

    There might be some bugs (just informing you in case you wish to improve later on). The menu sits nicely centred over the banner image as long as I choose one of the “boxed” layout options. If I choose “full width” the menu goes back to the right side of the screen.
    The widgets are nicely listed on the right side as desire so that works great as well. A simple design tips that might make the theme even more clean and stylish is to adjust the left and right margins. At the moment these margins seems to have a fixed size, and it looks great on small screens but a bit cramped on larger screens. Defining the left and right margins (distance from the box edge and the text) by percentage instead would make it look great in all sizes. This is just a minor detail but I believe it would lift the design 🙂

    Thanks again for your great work, it is largely appreciated 🙂

    Thank you for your input of what should be considered for future updates.
    Regarding the menu floating back up to the right, that is the design of the header where the logo is to the left and the menu is to the right. However, with the latest version update, you now have the option of an extra header style where the logo/site title is centered and the menu is below it, also centered. To find that option, go to Appearance >> Customize >> Site Options, and then look for the Header Style settings.

    As for the suggestion of re-sizable sidebar columns, I’ve thought about that before, but when using a Bootstrap grid layout, this is actually a bit more complicated. Although the option of using a fluid width option is possible. In fact, the current theme can do that, but you would have to use a child theme and change several instances of the class=”container” to class=”container-fluid”.

    Again, thank you for the feedback because it does help with the planning and development of future themes 🙂

    I was just looking at your free courses section and a single course, such as “Food for Life”. I did a quick look at the source code because the content is right up against the sides of your page container. To solve this one issue, you could use a plugin like the Simple Custom CSS and then add this:

    .single-course #content.site-content {
        padding: 0 3%;
    }

    That will add some spacing between the page sides and content. I can’t do anything about the sidebar that your plugin is loading in their own template, but if you want it gone, you could add this to your custom CSS to hide it:

    .single-course #sidebar {
        display: none;
    }

    Not sure if I should post new or follow this thread. I am also having a serious problem with pages displaying correctly.

    Blog posts display fine. Pages do not begn displaying until after the right sidebar (which appears on the left).

    See any page on this site from the menu at the top:

    Also, I am not sure how to turn off a page display for a parent page (which has nothing on it). I would like for nothing to happen if someone clicks on MEMBERSHIP, as an example, except for the fly-out menu to appear (but not go to the page MEMBERSHIP, which has nothing on it).

    Thank so much!

    @tbunnyd….probably best to repost as a new topic being as this one has already been set as “resolved”. The moderators will more likely pick up on that and make the request.

    Repost as a new topic and I will be happy to help you out. Quick note though, it’s going on midnight where I am so if you don’t hear from me shortly, I’ve gone to sleep and will follow up tomorrow.

    Thanks…figured it out. The theme loaded with various widgets already assigned to a variety of colums, sidebars, etc. Once U cleared them all out and reset just those I needed where U wanted them, layout problems disappeared!

    Thanks for your quick response to my query!

    Hi,
    I have changed my theme from Longevity to Longevity Pro.
    And now I have the problem described above. When I was on Longevity, I had a right sidebar when using my laptop. Now on Longevity Pro it floats down to the bottom on my laptop. I’m thinking it is do to responsive. And I agree, it should look like this on for instants a phone. But I would very much like to have a sidebar, when using laptops, like I had on Longevity. Is this possible?

    Thanks
    Henriette
