    Hi everyone,

Thank you for using mqTranslate, our fork of the original qTranslate.

Historically, we created mqTranslate because some features we needed where missing in the original plugin. We published it on the WordPress Plugin Repository because we thought some users may find it useful. Since the arrival of WordPress 3.9 and the lack of official support from qTranslate at this time, we have seen many more people downloading and using our plugin. It brought a lot of visibility to mqTranslate, which was until then rather confidential. But more users means more support requests.

We are a small team and we have our own businees to run. We cannot reply to your requests as fast as we would like. However, you can be assured that we will continue to provide support for mqTranslate as we are users of the plugin on our own WordPress sites. We have a very strong interest in keeping it working with the latest versions of the platform.

Considering the compatibility issues with other plugins, we are investigating them. However, we may be unable to solve them, because some plugins are mutually incompatible. That’s often the case with plugins hacking heavilly the TinyMCE editor as we do. Sometimes, tweaks are interfering and there is no solution.

We will treat in first bugs occuring inside our own code, then user requests directly related to mqTranslate, then other requests.

We will try our best to provide you guys the support you ask.

  • Keep up the good work! After resignation with qTranslate and mqTranslate last week, I tried it another time this week and bang there it worked!

Patience and trying, helps with free plugins. 😉

Perhaps you should think about those people who need a faster solution and offer them some kind of paid urgent support plan, perhaps with a little ticketsystem and paypal checkout on a case by case basis…

Is there any way we can contribute and push modification ?

I’ve just made the portuguese (pt_PT) translation .po and .mo files updated to the mqTranslate-2.6.2.6 released.

Is there a GitHub or another way to contribute with this?
Do you simply want these files sent by email?

    Thanks
    Pedro Mendonça

How can we contribute with new translations?
Should we send it to support@xhaleera.com?

    Thanks

    Yes, just as you did.

Just wanted to pop in and say thanks – the continuation of the qTranslate codebase is very much appreciated. qTranslate has always been one of the easier translation plugins to manage, as it didn’t create a lot of extraneous pages in the page hiearcy (which is already cluttered enough with WP’s flat structure).

If you have a paypal link or similar, I’m sure I’m not the only one who would donate a little, just to keep development going. (Even without expectation of any support – just that you guys are doing an honest effort to keep current with WP versions is enough for me).

    Regards
