Support » Fixing WordPress » Long Post can be truncated with more….?

  • Wow. Must say I love WordPress. After doing some research on blogging tools, and personally evaluating b2evo, bblog, and WP, I decided to go with WP. It seems to be the most popular too.
There was one thing that b2evo had (I think it was b2evo, they all start to blur after a while) that I would like. I have a tendency to post rather long rants, and I would like to have the option of putting in “more…” as a link that leads to the longer post, if the post exceeds a certain length (say 10-20 lines). Is this feature available in WP? I haven’t seen it mentioned in the faqs or in the forums.

Look at the Quicktags just above the writing area 🙂

Thanks! No brainers usually are just that, no brainers. I don’t know where mine was today.
I like that. Whatever package it was that did that, had a configurable option that would automatically do it. Here, I can control it much more. That’s great. Sorry to waste the bandwidth.

Hey wow, I didn’t realize that was in there either.
I always thought that section was for HTML shortcuts, so I just ignored it.
Thanks for asking about that and bringing it to everyone’s attention.
