Long loading time

    Hi there,

    I am currently testing this on our staging website, we normally use Mollie, but we have a significant number of failed payments lately. Anyway, the loading time before PayPal goes to the next screen from the first click is very long. Around 20 seconds, with Mollie this is around 2 seconds. Is there something i am doing wrong, or does it mean the plugin is not compatible with our Funnelkit setup?

    I am not sure what step you are referring to here. Are you using the PayPal buttons or the “Use Place Order Button” option?

    does it mean the plugin is not compatible with our Funnelkit setup?

    This plugin is compatible with Funnelkit so that wouldn’t be the issue.

    Once I get some more details from you I’ll be able to provide a more comprehensive response.

    Thank You, i use the PayPal buttons.

    I deactived the plugin and combined it with Mollie, now the loading time is around 7 seconds.

    This is still a lot slower, but acceptable. If you have any tips to shorten this, please let me know.

    I am not sure what that means. Does that mean your Mollie plugin has a PayPal option and you switched to that?

    Sorry for being vague. Mollie also has PayPal, but what I actually meant was that I activated your plugin together with Mollie. And then Mollie for the other payments. This is purely for testing purposes on our staging website.

    The first configuration was with Funnelkit payments, and then your plugin took a very long time to load.

    In combination with Mollie, it is a lot faster, now taking around 6 seconds.

    I reviewed your checkout page but PayPal is not available. I can see that the scripts are loading but PayPal is not available. When that happens it usually means a currency plugin is filtering PayPal because you haven’t configured which currencies you want PayPal to display for.

    Hi @equilator

    I recommend you consult the documentation for your currency plugin. Usually the currency plugin has a settings page where you can specify which currencies the payment method supports. That then controls when the payment method appears on the checkout page.
