Hi, I have a problem with the edit event site. I use sports press for a football club. 18 teams and about 450 players in the league. I would like to edit an event, then all players will be loaded. This brings infinitely long loading times with them. The problem here lies in the meta box “teams”. This should only load the player, which belongs to the clubs and not all players in the league.

Maybe you could go through the problem. Are there any other players in a league, you can not really work with it. The loading times of the edit event page is 10 seconds +.

Nevertheless, thanks for the great plugin

@suchfinde Thanks for your feedback. Absolutely, this is a known issue and we think an ajax dropdown for getting players would be a good solution. This should be included by version 1.9, which I’ve already started working on 🙂

Hi, do you have a schedule when the problem is solved. As it is currently, you can not work with it.

    regards

    Hi.
I have 135 teams and 1739 players. It is no longer possible to work with it.

This should be included by version 1.9

    Current version is 1.9.15…

Here’s what I found in the FAQ:

there are no limitations to the number of events, players, staff members, teams, clubs, or leagues you can add to the free plugin

    BUT:

The current modules that are available exclusively to SportsPress Pro are:
Lazy Loading: Load players using Ajax to speed up the event edit screen.

In fact, the limit on the number of events takes place.

This means that it is useless to wait for the problem solution in the free version?
SP is a great plugin, free version almost suits me, except for this bug.
Please, dot all the i’s and cross all the t’s.
    Thanks…

@uraaa We don’t set any limitations ourselves, but the performance of the plugin varies by web host. That being said, we feel that the Lazy Loading module is a must-have for larger sites so will be introducing it in the free SportsPress plugin in the next update. Check out this commit on GitHub from last week 🙂

@brian This is exciting news, thank you!
