• I’ve installed iThemes security and receive the daily security digest showing how many users have been locked out of my site. But there is nothing showing in the logs tab in the WordPress admin section.

I have tried changing the log type in the settings but none of the options seem to work. I’ve currently got it set to Database Only. It is set to keep logs for 30 days.

    Any suggestions?

  • Hey Quillian,

Could you try checking for a plugin conflict? Deactivate all other plugins and see if that helps. If it does, then reactivate the plugins one at a time until you find the culprit(s), if any.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald

Hi, I’ve tried de-activating all the plugins but the logs still don’t show. I’ve checked the database and the logs are there.

I’ve noticed an error on the javascript console when I view the logs page of the security admin dashboard:

Uncaught TypeError: undefined is not a function : admin-dashboard.js?ver=4.0:97

Could this have anything to do with it?

I’m having the same issue. Have opened up a support threads but can’t get any assistance. I did follow instructions from support, didn’t work. I did delete and download a new copy and still no help. I was able to see it before. This is a recent issue for me.

    Hey All,

I just wanted to let you know that the developer is aware of this and we’re trying to recreate it. I’ll repot back here when I know more.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald

Cannot view Logs > Data > Details.

    Blank pop-up window!

It’s been like this since I started using iThemes Security on multiple sites.

    Hi Gingalley,

Could you try setting WP_DEBUG to true and see if you get a message on the blank screen?

    Thanks,

    Gerroald

I tried to WP_Debug to true and no error message for me. When i run elements on chrome the F12 inspector tool I can see that I get html error 500

    hope this helps.

Still blank. Not a huge deal.

    • 404 errors are displayed on main log screen.
    • Invalid login attempts are displayed with IP.

But, with Malware Scan, details are pushed to the far right and unreadable. You have to copy and paste into notepad to view.

*Would be nice to have have a button to automatically add IP to blacklist though. 🙂

    Great plugin. Thanks!

    Hey All,

Could you update to v4.4.13 and let me know if it helps with the logs issue?

@gingalley This is a current feature request!

    @gerroald

    Updated and checked multiple sites.

Looks to me like a CSS issue for inner margins: class=”ui-dialog-content ui-widget-content”

Currently, I see width set at 67.859×664.188.

Changing it to 95% or 1400px did the trick for me!

Oops… spoke too soon, the main log page works fine, but when I make a selection from the dropdown, e.g. “Invalid Login Attempts”, then the refreshed page shows no logs and the js console again shows “undefined is not a function admin-dashboard.js?ver=4.0:97

    Hey,

    Thanks for the updates!

@quillian1 – Do you see a file and line number referenced in your console?

    Thanks,

    Gerroald

    Hi Gerroald

Yes it’s line 97 admin-dashboard.js, the code is
    jQuery( "#itsec_tabbed_dashboard_content" ).tabs();

Weirdly, today the 404 errors page is working, but the Invalid Login Attempts page is still blank
