Support » Theme: GeneratePress » Logo left but navigation center

  • Hi,

    I would like the navigation to stay central – where it is but by uploading logo via Customizing Site Identity it shunts navigation around, increases height and leaves no margin to remove the height its created as all padding setting set to zero.

    For Customizing ▸ Layout Header I have uploaded logo and in tablet/phone it has aligned left but no logo appears on desktop.

    Pls kindly clarify which route one uses to upload a logo and perhaps how I can upload it so it remains left with navigation remaining central and without the affecting the height of the header.

    Thanks.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    No – well, I am using GP Premium as my main theme under Appearances. I purchased GP few yrs back mind but updating when requested.

    Ahh. The flexbox option will only show up if you’re using at least GP Premium 1.11.0, as there were quite a few compatibility tweaks made to GP Premium so it would be compatible.

    Are you able to update GP Premium? it would make it much easier to achieve the layout you are after.

    We could try without flex, but there isn’t a way to truly center the navigation.

    GP Premium 1.7-rc.1 is my current theme – states I’m fully updated. How does one update further? .. (maybe that’s why I’m having difficulty also with setting up individual Page Header’s for post/page – not looking like in the vid.)

    GP Premium is a plugin. Do you still have a valid license key?

    If so can you open a support topic in our premium forum and I’ll walk you through?https://generatepress.com/support/

    I’m not allowed to provide help with the premium plugin in the free forum here – it’s a WordPress rule.

    Right. GP Premium I purchased maybe 2 yrs back, understand it is a plugin, that you use as a theme no? I mean I don’t use another theme and then customize it with GP. I create the theme using GP and Elementor as the page builder.
    Presumably the GP Premium plugin expires and requires renewal is that what you are saying?

    Hi there,

    GP Premium is a Plugin, it adds extra functionality to the free GeneratePress Theme.

    And yes, initial purchases come with 1 year of Premium Support and Plugin Updates.
    Annual renewal is required if you wish to continue receiving premium support and updates.

    Got you – Thanks David. Sorry to drag this out, just a final thing in that have replaced header color with header image. In order for header image to appear in responsive modes I included it as logo in Customizing ▸ Layout Header and then set mobile to Off, which works but centralizes logo in Customizing ▸ Site Identity when in responsive but remains left in desktop.

    Is it possible for it to align left also in responsive modes to save doubling header height.

    Cheers :/

    Try this CSS:

    @media (max-width: 768px) {
        .inside-header {
            display: flex;
        }
        .main-navigation {
            margin-left: auto;
        }
    }

    Thank you very much – works a treat Leo. Thanks all.
