# Logo layer over slides

 * Hello,
    I want to place a logo image and a semi transparent layer over all slides
   like in this image: [http://i.stack.imgur.com/3nsK1.jpg](http://i.stack.imgur.com/3nsK1.jpg)
   This layer should be 20% wide and 100% height, but the height should be responsive(
   here’s my problem). Has somebody an idea on how to do this? Thanks, Manuel

 * You can use our “static slide” to do this. At the sidebar: [http://doc.smartslider3.com/article/405-slide-manager-sidebar](http://doc.smartslider3.com/article/405-slide-manager-sidebar)
   
   where you see the “Add image slide” button, you should open up the dropdown list,
   and you can select to add this static slide.
 * Static slide means, that it will be always over the slides, that it won’t switch
   away, while you can switch your normal slides under it. Since you will make this
   in our slide editor, it will be responsive, just like the other parts of your
   slider.
