I’m re-designing my website, and at the moment have a VERY barebones set up (header and footer).

I have one logo image set (being used for desktop and mobile), however when running the page with the Inspector panel open, I see the logo file is loaded 14 times… why on earth is this doing this?

This is incredibly excessive, and I have no idea why this is happening? Can someone explain why the logo file is loaded so many times, and what (if possible) can be done to reduce these?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello @leecollings,

    Thank you for the update,

I checked the site and I can only see one logo being loaded, please take a look at this screenshot: https://ibb.co/gLJGC5sN.

If you are referring to what you see in the browser’s Inspector panel: https://ibb.co/ccZHdW1c that’s showing the different logo sizes that WordPress automatically generates (for example 150px, 640px, 768px, 1280px, etc.) as part of the srcset attribute. These are not actually loaded 14 times on the page, the browser only selects and loads the size that best matches the visitor’s screen resolution.

Could you please double-check this on your end?
If you are still seeing multiple actual requests for the same logo file, please share a screenshot of the Network tab (in your browser’s Developer Tools) so we can investigate further. Also, tell us how we can reproduce it on somewhere other than your website.

    Hope it helps,
    Best Regards
