    Thanks for using Author!

    There is another option in the Customizer called “Avatar.” Using that setting instead of a logo will allow you to add a picture of yourself at the top of the sidebar and still display the site title.

    Thank you for the new option.

    However, what would you recommend if I wanted to have a big square picture instead of a small circle one as well as the mission statement?

    You can use the Avatar option and then add this CSS to your site:

    .site-avatar {
      border-radius: 0 !important;
    }

    That will keep the avatar as a square instead of a circle. Please copy & paste the code into the “Additional CSS” section in the Customizer (Appearance > Customize), and it will take effect right away.

    Lovely!

    While doing this, I found a bug where I wasn’t able to remove a logo that I had previously uploaded. To fix it, I uploaded a new one, which gave me back the option to remove.

    Thanks for your help!
