Logo and navmenu new layout
-
Hi,
I’m trying to developing a new layout for my WP layout and I don’t know how to style it.
I want to use something like this:
Take a closer look please!
So there are a kind of 3 distinct sections: (1) for a logo, (2) another for the menu area made with at least 4 columns, and (3) the last one: the posts area. I will have a 4th area for the footer.I really don’t know where to put my hands on.
Thank you for your interest in this post and for all the help you can give.

Hi again,
can anyone help me with this problem I have?
Thank you.I really don’t know where to put my hands on.
start with the basics:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Theme_Development
http://yoast.com/wordpress-theme-anatomy/Done that! 🙂
Yet I can’t center things! 🙁
http://firemyheart.com/teste/
and the logo doesn’t appear! 🙁
Why?! :SThank you.
#wrapper { position:absolute; text-align: left; margin-left: 50%; /* centering trick */ left:-300; /* centering trick */ top:0; width:300; /*height:1000; z-index:1;*/ color: #777; font-family: 'MisoRegular', sans-serif; }
all of the numbers above need units such as
px
– this might apply to more styles in style.css of your theme.
http://www.w3schools.com/css/your logo is not showing because it needs the absolute path to the image:
example:
<img src="<?php bloginfo('stylesheet_url'); ?>/Imagens/Logo.png">
http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/bloginfo(the
url(Imagens/Logo.png)
only works in style.css, because of the relative path from the stylesheet location to the image location)Well got help with the Bloginfo reference but the param is more: ‘stylesheet_directory’ instead of stylesheet_url.
Yet I need some help on centering things 😀the #wrapper should be left -150px right?
that’s what I’ve done, and it’s now ok – at least it seams to be align in center! 😀now the footer: can you point me some other link please, or what am I missing here?
Thank you once again!
