Hi @jmeyer2485
I hope you are doing good today.
I made a test on my lab site and after I set up my custom login URL I was able to use it with and without a slash(“/”) at the end. Are you use any custom permalinks structure or any custom htaccess rules?
Also, would you please run a conflict test as this could be affected by another plugin, like some membership plugins?
Please deactivate all plugins except this one and check if the problem is gone. If so, then enable all plugins one by one and find which one is having a conflict. If there is no positive result, switch to the default WordPress theme like 2019 and see if it works.
Before this test, we recommend full site backup or running this test on a staging site.
Kind Regards,
Kris
@wpmudevsupport13 I have disabled all plugins but had no success making it work.
Hi @jmeyer2485
If disabling all the plugins (other than Defender) doesn’t change anything, it means that it’s not necessarily caused by conflict.
Is your site powered by Apache webserver?
If you are not sure, you can check it on “Tools -> Site Health” page in your site’s back-end, in “Info” tab under “Server” section.
If it’s Apache, can you please check .htaccess file and let me know what rules are there?
Also, the address in both “WordPress Address” and “Site Address” options on “Settings -> General” page – does it end with the slash or not?
Best regards,
Adam

@wpmudev-support8 Here is a link to my htaccess file. https://pastebin.com/yGFW93Dd
Also, to your other question yes it’s Apache Server.
Also, the address in both “WordPress Address” and “Site Address” options on “Settings -> General” page – does it end with the slash or not?
There are no / after the URL and if I try to add them WordPress just removes them after saving.
Hi @jmeyer2485
Your pastebin URL seems to be not valid anymore. Could you upload htaccess once again and share fresh URL?
Kind Regards,
Kris
Hi @jmeyer2485
Thank you for the code.
I copied it to my website and tried to replicate the problem but it worked fine using “/” or without “/”.

Could you contact your hosting provider to verify if they force any rule or redirect that could be causing this issue?
Best Regards
