It could be your index.php file in your root www folder redirecting either directly or indirectly. Or more likely, your .htaccess file is redirecting to your wordpress folder.
It looks like it is neither of those, as they don’t ref /login or wp-login.php and are pretty bare.

Uh, I’m a bit confused. Why would the web host care about what is in my www folder? I don’t think my host can answer this question unless they happen to know the workings of WP. I installed WP, and it works fine. This is a technical question about how WP works, not a ‘problem’.
Are you saying I should have a login folder under www? If I should but don’t then I’d expect to get an answer.
Since my question should apply to every WP install, I’m not sure what other info I can give.
They can check your DNS settings, what is pointing to what in your hosting account. That is unique to your host/installation. Hence my response.
