Client’s outdated site lipskyart.com now prompts for email confirmation, yet confirmation doesn’t send email. The action holds true for both users. I’ve not seen this before and no plugins have been added.

My instinct tells me this is evidence of hacking. Fortunately I’ve been developing the new site on my server, so content is secure.

Any ideas for where to start troubleshooting? I’m baffled.

Yeah, that’s not part of standard WordPress. I’d still suspect a plugin first though.

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required), then try logging in to see if that makes any difference.

Thanks for the reply, James. I disabled plugins from the server side, however there was no change.

I never found the answer to this problem. Honestly, I quit looking seriously since we are building a new site and I can wipe the existing site back to ground zero.

    Excellent, that’s definitely a viable solution. 🙂
