 * Hi, when a new subscriber to my website registers they are welcomed by a profile
settings area. How can I stop this. It seems to make registering complicated.
I also receive a lost password email every time someone registers. I currently
use theme my login. Only because I stumbled upon it. Are there better options
or is it a wordpress thing? thanks

 * Go to Dashboard > Settings > Users
 * there you have control on email and basic behaviour for WP

 * I have just looked it there but cant see anywhere that will stop the jetpack
   options showing or profile editor?

 * jetpack tries basically to override all themes and basic functions. to my knowledge,
no sorry. but you can select what jetpack does and don’t through the admin.

 * Hi, where are the advanced options, is it worth removing jetpack?

 * Sorry for the confusion [@nparsons75](https://wordpress.org/support/users/nparsons75/),
   [@digico-paris](https://wordpress.org/support/users/digico-paris/) is incorrect
here. Jetpack does not “override all themes and basic functions,” nor does it
have anything to do with the user registration process, and neither it nor WordPress
have a section titled “advanced options.”
 * It sounds like what you’re looking for is something like [https://wordpress.org/plugins/remove-dashboard-access-for-non-admins/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/remove-dashboard-access-for-non-admins/)
