My blog loads fine, I just can’t access my blog panel. * I’m told I have the wrong password. Strangely, when I enter my login name to retrieve my password by email, it says the password has been sent, but then I never receive the email. Through my CPanel and PHPMyAdmin, I’m able to see that my login name, password and email are in fact correct. However, none of these work when I try to login to my blog on [http://www.wordpress.com](http://www.wordpress.com). I’ve tried to reset my password (via the MD5 function, followed all the steps), it shows my password as being changed, but when I attempt to login, it says I have an incorrect password. And I’m aware that passwords and usernames are case sensitive. Nothing seems to work! * I’ve tried each and every step listed in the article “Login Trouble – WordPress Codex” ([http://codex.wordpress.org/Login_Trouble](http://codex.wordpress.org/Login_Trouble)), including the following (none of which have changed anything). * 1 Enable Cookies 2 Disable Plugins 3 New Login File 4 Edit Users Table 5 Problems with Password 6 Site URL Redirecting 7 Secure HTTPS 8 Headers Already Sent 9 Check Your URL Options 10 Check your Firewall * I have now reached “11 If All Else Fails”, and I’m desperate for help! You manage and install yourself and you can customise your own version until your heart’s content. It’s flexible, but you bear the full responsibility of maintaining and fixing it if something goes wrong. * WordPress.com is a hosted service. Upgrades are managed for you, the learning curve isn’t quite so steep, but you don’t have as much control over what you do with your blog. * A wordpress.org user might have a username and password for wordpress.com (if you need an Akismet key for example), but you don’t use those same login details if you want to get into your wordpress.org blog. * If you’re using PHPMyAdmin to look at your database, it’d suggest to me that your self hosting (ie wordpress.org), so you need to be logging into your blog on your own server, ie: [http://www.yourdomainname.com/wp-admin/](http://www.yourdomainname.com/wp-admin/) * Thread Starter [roxannew](https://wordpress.org/support/users/roxannew/) * (@roxannew) * [16 years, 5 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/login-problems-all-else-has-failed/#post-1304372) * Hi there, * Thanks so much! I’m having a similar problem. I go through GoDaddy and uploaded WordPress through their system. I had a lot of issues a couple weeks ago and I’m just now getting the patience to come back. I had to erase my current WordPress and then download it all over. I have a .COM username and password, but I can’t figure out how to retrieve the username and password for the .ORG — I go to my website and try to login there (which takes me to [http://thesoireecafe.com/wp-login.php](http://thesoireecafe.com/wp-login.php)), but it keeps telling met that I have the wrong username — AND THERE HAVE ONLY BEEN 2 usernames that I’ve EVER used and it’s showing that neither of those are valid. Apparently I can’t figure out the .COM — I’ve created 2 .ORG username and passwords before I read this not knowing that the. COM and the .ORG were separate entities.
