login problem with registered users (not admin!)

    Hi, I’ve searched the forum and the FAQs but most topics with login problems were about the admin unable to login. I am able to login as admin, but I have six or seven friends who registered themselves, but when trying to login into their profile, the white login screen returns, means nothing happens, no error. I registered myself two times with different name and pw and I am able to get into the profile. Does it have to do with the CHMOD? While thinking through this problem I was wondering what the function of the registered users is. If you are registered, what are you able/supposed to do? I don’t allow other users to write articles but to comment on them, so if they register, is there an automatic function which fills in the names when writing a comment or anything else that is special? I am new to WP and couldn’t find anything about this topic in the forum/FAQs.

    I am having the same trouble. Users can’t login and when they request their password they get a jumbled up email. I have removed the plugin for now.

    Ditto!

    No registered users can move beyond the login page. Upon clicking “Login >>” the login page is cleared and reloaded — the user, stuck, unable to move beyond. When a request for the password is made (thinking perhaps that is the problem), a Database error appears saying there is an error in the SQL syntax near the random password generator. The new password is then successfully sent to the email address.

    How can this be fixed so registered users can enter Post?

    Anyone? I had to remove the registered users plugin. I would really like to continue using WP, but I don’t want a public blog. Is there a way to fix this or should I try a fresh install?

    I’ve been searching long and hard for the problem. Nothing seems to stand out. WHY CANT REGISTERED USERS ENTER TO POST?!?!?
