I just installed a fresh copy of wp under my home directory on our department server. I do not have a mysql account there, so I resorted to use wp's sqlite plug-in. I installed everything successfully, and I posted a few pages up there. Everything was working fine. I also changed my password for user admin. After a while, I was playing with the settings that I automatically got signed out of the website, and from then on whatever I tried I could not get back into the website. I am sure that I am typing my password correctly, but for some reason, it does not let me in. When I type my username and password, it keeps asking me for them again and again, without giving any errors or anything. I tried "forgot my password" link, it did not work, though. I also tried this link. It said password is reset, but when I tried it, it did not work either. I am really stuck. Can anybody help me with this regard please?

  2. The emergency password reset script works with MySQL, not SQlite. Because of the plugin, you're using SQlite. You need to use something like SQLiteWebAdmin - Webbased SQLite Database administration to look in the databae and change your password.

Try deactivating all plugins; clear browser cache.

Also visit yourdomain.com/wp-login.php when you login (assumes WordPress in in web-root).

How to deactivate all plugins when not able to access the administrative menus?
