I have created a copy of my wordpress site so that I can test some new plugins prior to putting them on the live site.

Everything on the site works perfectly except the login button.

When you login it takes you to a random URL which does not exist.

If you back arrow to the original URL you have been logged you in correctly.

Where is this URL for the landing page so I can update it I have looked everywhere but cannot find where you are getting the URL from.

    Thanks

    Phill

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @philllupton,

I am extremely sorry for the delayed response. It is due to the weekend off that took some time and our team was working on newer updates so I couldn’t get back to you on time. I hope you understand.

Regarding the issue, there can only be two cases with our plugin redirecting you to a certain URL after login is successful.
The first being the shortcode. The shortcode to display the login form is [user_registration_my_account], but if you add a parameter redirect_url=”sample-page” inside the shortcode then a user will be redirected to a sample-page after log in where sample-page is the slug of the page on your website.
Another probable cause for login redirect is that you have a custom PHP code written to redirect users to a certain page after login.

So, please check if you are using any of those two cases and do let me know. I will then get back to you accordingly.

    Regards!

    Thank-you for your reply.

I had forgotten that you were able to be a redirect page in the shortcode. Somehow this got updated with a random url when I copied the site.

It now works perfectly. thank you.
