login http protocol error

    When using the built in login form code, it redirects to an error page. Odd?? the address IS correct login http protocol error goes to https://my domain//wp-login.php but I see an error page ‘http protocol error’ So I copy the address exactly and repaste the URL, opens the wp login page perfectly … I’m stumped!

    The only real way of determining the cause of the issue is to do some basic troubleshooting of your theme and plugins. I would be glad to link up a guide if it would be useful for you.

    Thanks for the reply Jeff, If you think it maybe plugin/theme related, I can debug that myself… I posted here as thought it might be quirk of your plugin 🙂

    Yeah usually the login form “just works”, so if it is not working probably safe bet that something is interfering with normal functionality. Just fyi all the code for the login form is contained in a file called shortcode-login.php located in the /library/ directory, so you can take a look if needed, etc.
